Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for selecting an architecture mode of system to access a network. SOLUTION: An customer private equipment(CPE) or a digital subscriber line(DSL) access multiplexer is prepared. An Internet protocol(IP) address, a virtual circuit identifier(VCI) and a permanent virtual circuit(PVC) identifier are exchanged for other address and identifiers which are related to a system. Then an IP routing table or an asynchronous transfer mode(ATM) PVC list is updated. A request is also notified to a simple network management protocol(SNMP) server and then received via a Web page which includes at least one of personal identification numbers(PIN) input selection (field), a routed architecture mode selection (field) and a bridged architecture mode selection (field).
