Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spray-type road sign painting apparatus which can always paint a road sign of a constant width without being influenced by difference in viscosity of a paint due to an environment and the type of paint, even on a water-repellent pavement surface, and to provide a spray-type road sign painting method. SOLUTION: The spray-type road sign painting apparatus is comprised of a spraying mechanism which is provided with first adjusting means 13, 14 for adjusting the lateral width of a slit 16 formed in a bottom of a hopper 18 for the paint, and a second adjusting means 15 for adjusting the longitudinal width of the slit 16. The spraying mechanism is constituted of a pair of rotors which are arranged in parallel with the longitudinal direction of the slit and sprays the paint onto the road surface. Thus, the spraying mechanism adjusts the amount and width of flowout of the paint flowing from the slit 16.
