ACCESS POINT SELECTION METHOD AND MOBILE STATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an access point selection method, that can dynamically select an access point (gateway server) that is passed through by a portable phone when the portable phone accesses other network (e.g., the Internet) different from a mobile communication network through the mobile communication network so as to distribute the load and the traffic and to provide a mobile station, that dynamically selects an access point according to this method. SOLUTION: This portable phone has a connection information list which includes a plurality of sets of connection information for the connection to all gateway servers, uses received connection information to update the connection information list (step SA 2), selects one connection information from the connection information list, on the basis of received base station identification information and selection reference information (step SA 3) and registers the selected connection information as connection information used to access the Internet (step SA 4).
