METHOD FOR REMOVING FOREIGN MATTER ON AUXILIARY ROLL OF REVERSIBLE ROLLING MILL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing a foreign matter on an auxiliary roll of a reversible rolling mill by which both scratching of the foreign matter and wiping of lubricating oil are able to execute to the auxiliary roll of the reversible rolling mill and moreover the generation of rolling roll marks by again rolling the foreign matter in the material and defects in quality by transferring the marks to a rolled stock are prevented without accompanying the increase of installation cost and maintenance load. SOLUTION: This method is the method for removing the foreign matter stuck to the surface of the auxiliary roll 4 of the reversible rolling mill and, by defining a direction following the direction in which the rolled stock 3 is forwarded toward the rolling mill as the forward direction, a device has structure having a 1st wiper 10 on the side of the forward direction on both sides of the contact part of the rolled stock with the auxiliary roll and 2nd wiper 20 on the opposite side and, besides, the oppotunity of contact with the auxiliary roll and the wiper is taken as all times in the 1st wiper and as only the staring time of rolling in the forward direction in the 2nd wiper.
