description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve quality of a printed image by a method wherein a quantity of inductive charge of a recording ink particle is corrected to zero and occurrence of a separated dot is restrained. SOLUTION: An ink particle is controlled to be charged in accordance with a charge control signal by increasing the number of charged ink particles one- by-one and then a quantity of inductive charge is measured by an inductive charge quantity detection means (step S103). When a difference between the measured quantity of the inductive charge and the quantity of inductive charge in the number of charged ink particles reduced by one becomes at most an experienced value (YES in step S104), the number of charged ink particles is determined to be the number of inserted charged ink particles (step S107). While the printing operation is performed, the charged ink particles in the number of the inserted charged ink particles are inserted prior to an ink particle line allocated to each pixel. Each quantity of the inductive charge which is electrostatically inducted to recording ink particles in the vicinity of the top of the ink particle line is always equalized and the quantity of the inductive charge is corrected to zero by means of a correction circuit.
