IMAGE FORMING METHOD AND DEVICE FOR THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method with which a good transfer characteristic may be obtained by the viscosity coefficient of a liquid developer entering the inside of a permissible range in a transfer region and the viscosity coefficient of the liquid developer is high in a developer container and the good handlability of the liquid developer may be obtained, and a device for the same. SOLUTION: A developer having thixotropic nature is used as the liquid developer 13. This device has a stirring screw 15, etc., for depositing the liquid developer 13 in a developing tank 14 to a developing belt 12 by imparting a shearing stress to the liquid developer and a portion where the liquid developer 13 is transported in the state of not imparting the shearing stress from the developing device 10 to a transfer roller 7. The impartation conditions of the shearing stress by the stirring screw 15, etc., and the transporting conditions for the liquid developer on the developing belt 12, etc., are so set that the viscosity coefficient of the liquid developer constituting the sensible image on an intermediate transfer belt 4 in the transfer region enters the inside of the permissible range necessary for the transfer.
