Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the center of a geodesic device and the height from a ground point to the intersection of a collimation axis/deflection axis/rotation axis, with high accuracy and at a low mechanical and technical cost, and under favorable conditions from the standpoint of ergonomics. SOLUTION: A measuring device has a first laser beam 10 passing through a rotation axis DA and preferably collimated and at least one laser beam 11 independent of the first laser beam and branching therefrom, with both laser beams forming an angle γ, the measuring device being adapted for measuring the distance (a) between the optical paths of both laser beams at the height of a ground point 4. An evaluation processing device is provided for calculating the height h of an intersection from the ground point 4, from the relation between h and (a) when the angle γ is known. The distance (a) is measured while the devices are held horizontal or perpendicular to the rotation axis DA.
