PRODUCTION OF HYPERFINE-GRAINED WC/TiC/Co COMPOSITE SUPER HARD POWDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a producing method capable of obtaining hyperfine-grained WC/TiC/Co composite powder in which fine carbides are uniformly distributed by low reaction temp. and a simple process. SOLUTION: This method for producing hyperfine-grained WC/TiC/Co composite super hard powder is composed of a stage in which initial powder is produced from water soluble salt contg. W, Ti and Co by an atomizing and drying method, a stage in which water and a salt component contained in the atomized and dried initial powder are removed by heating, a mechanical ball milling stage in which the oxide powder from which the salt component and water are removed by the heating is pulverized, carbon is added thereto, and mixing is uniformly executed and a stage in which the oxide powder subjected to the ball milling is subjected to reduction/carburization in an atmosphere of reducing gas or nonoxidizing gas.
