Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a phenolic resin within a short time without using any organic solvent by reacting a phenol with an aldehyde in the absence of a catalyst in supercritical water. SOLUTION: It is desirable that the reaction time in reacting a phenol with an aldehyde is within 10 min. It is desirable that the phenol is at least one member selected from phenol, cresol, xylenol, resorcinol, dihydroxydiphenylmethane, and 2,2-bishydroxyphenylpropane, and the aldehyde is at least one member selected from formalin, paraformaldehyde, acetaldehyde, and benzaldehyde. It is desirable that the reaction is carried out under conditions including a temperature of 374-600 deg.C and a pressure of 22-80 MPa. The molar ratio of the phenol to the aldehyde in the reaction is desirably in the range of 0.1-1.0. The molar ratio of the phenol to the water that are fed is desirably in the range of 0.01-1.0. In this way, the degree of polymerization of the resin can be increased without causing its gelation. |
