Zusammenfassung:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase capacity of a polymer secondary battery, decrease a short circuit rate, and enhance safety. SOLUTION: This secondary battery has a positive electrode prepared by forming a positive electrode active material layer 7 on a positive electrode current collector 6; a negative electrode prepared by forming a negative electrode active material layer 11 on a negative electrode current collector 10; and polymer electrolyte layers 8 arranged on the positive electrode and the negative electrode. Arranging positions of the polymer electrolyte layers 8 on the positive electrode current collector 9 and the negative electrode current collector 10 are specified in a range of 0.1 mm or more but 20 mm or less in the direction having no positive electrode active material layer 7 and negative electrode active material layer 11 from on the positive electrode active material layer 7 and the negative electrode active material layer 11 and the ends of the positive electrode active material layer 7 and the negative electrode active material layer 11.
