description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the distortion and reflection of a signal due to impedance mismatching between components by allowing a terminating device to include a 2nd module which is connected to a provided terminating voltage and inserted into a 2nd socket to terminate a bus on a printed circuit board. SOLUTION: A T-RIMM 100 as a dummy module (C-RIMM) having a terminating function includes the printed circuit board 102 where a trace line or signal line is formed. Terminating resistances Rterm are provided on the left side 104 and right side 106 of the printed circuit board 1 which provide a terminating voltage Vterm. A terminating capacitor Cterm of about 2 pF is positioned at the left side 104 of the printed circuit board 102. The T-RIMM 100 is so designed that it is inserted into multiple free RIMM sockets together with the C-RIMM. The terminating resistance Rterm and terminating capacitor Cterm terminate the RAM bus channel of the T-RIMM 100. The T-RIMM 100 decreases the distance from the RIMM to the terminating voltage Vterm.
