description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correctly position and hold a bevel gear and structure it also for holding a spiral bevel gear by bringing a receiving groove into contact with a tooth flank of a tooth through a projecting part in a state in which the tooth engages with the receiving groove. SOLUTION: A receiving surface 35 of a receiving tooth 32b in this receiving jig 10 is provided with a projecting part 36b having a bent surface shape, and the receiving surface 35 comes into contact with a tooth flank 15 of a gear 14 of a bevel gear 12 through the projecting part 36b. A shape of a contact portion A between the projecting part 36b and the tooth flank 15 is a substantially elliptic surface shape. A peripheral edge of the contact portion A of the receiving surface 35 is formed as a flank for the tooth flank 15. The receiving jig 10 applies high centripetal property for the bevel gear 12 and can stably hold the bevel gear 12. Therefore, especially even when a clamp force by a clamp member is applied to the bevel gear 12, the bevel gear 12 can be correctly positioned and held.
