description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem of conventional yarn heat treatment apparatus in which a part of a vapor phase heat medium in a yarn-contacting tube, through which the yarn runs, while the yarn contacts with the tube, condenses into a liquid phase heat medium in the tube, and the condensed phase of the heat medium partially stays in a yarn-running groove and it becomes difficult for the condensed heat medium to turn back to a boiler chamber, thus the running yarn comes in contact with both the vapor phase and condensed phase heat media whereby temperature difference occurs between both the media and uniform heating of the yarn becomes impossible, resulting in deterioration of processing quality of the yarn. SOLUTION: A lower edge 11a corresponding to the lowermost part of a yarn-contacting tube 11 through which the yarn Y runs and comes into contact therewith is made in a flat face without formation of a yarn-running groove 17. A plurality of individual yarn-contacting tubes 11 are mutually connected through a pipe 21 for refluxing the heat medium at their lower ends and a thread-regulating guide 66 for regulating the path for the yarn Y is attached to the lower face of the lower edge 11a of the yarn-contacting tube 11.
