description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the secretory capacity and produce the subject antibody by transducing an extraneous DNA capable of encoding the same amino acid sequence as that of a rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain gene into a cell having the rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain gene and a rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin light chain gene and culturing the resultant transformed cell. SOLUTION: This method is to produce a monoclonal antibody and comprises transducing an extraneous DNA containing a gene capable of encoding an amino acid sequence of an immunoglobulin heavy chain polypeptide derived from a rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain gene into a cell having the rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain gene and a rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin light chain gene and capable of secreting a monoclonal antibody comprising the immunoglobulin heavy chain polypeptide derived from the rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin heavy chain gene and an immunoglobulin light chain polypeptide derived from the rearranged endogenous immunoglobulin light chain gene, providing a transformed cell transformed with the extraneous DNA, culturing the resultant cell, obtaining the monoclonal antibody secreted into the cell culture fluid, thereby increasing the secretory capacity and affording the monoclonal antibody.
