Zusammenfassung: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synthesize at a high yield an aluminoxane useful as a catalyst component for olefin polymerization by contacting a trialkylaluminum solution in an inactive hydrocarbon solvent with water having dissolved or dispersed therein an inactive hydrocarbon. SOLUTION: A 1-70 wt.% trialkylaluminum solution in an inactive hydrocarbon solvent is contacted with water containing 0.001-100 wt.% of an inactive hydrocarbon compound dissolved or dispersed therein with the molar ratio of water/trialkylaluminum adjusted within the range of (0.1-1.5):1 to give an aluminoxane. As the trialkylaluminum is employed trimethylaluminum, triethylaluminum, triisobutylaluminum, trihexylaluminum, trioctylaluminum or a combination thereof. As the inactive hydrocarbon compound is employed a 5-12C linear or branched hydrocarbon or an aromatic hydrocarbon compound. |
