description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a separable air conditioner capable of increasing a heat exchanging area of a small-size indoor machine and effecting heat exchange with a high performance. SOLUTION: A front surface heat exchanger 7, having a configuration that upper rim part and lower rim part are retarded respectively, is provided at positions opposed to the front surface suction port 3 and the upper surface suction port 4 of an indoor machine casing 1. On the other hand, a rear surface heat exchanger 12, different from the front surface heat exchanger 7, is arranged at a position at the rear surface side of the front surface heat exchanger 7 and whose upper rim part is approximated to the upper rim part of the front surface heat exchanger 7 and opposed to the upper surface suction port 4 so as to be slanted into a direction, in which the lower rim part of the same is apart from the front surface heat exchanger 7. In this case, a cross-flow fan 6 is provided at a position opposed to the air outlet port 5 of the indoor machine casing 1. According to this method, a heat exchanging area can be increased in the indoor machine having a low height whereby a heat exchanging capacity can be improved. Accordingly, high performance heat exchanging capacity can be obtained by a small-size indoor machine having a low height.
