Zusammenfassung:	PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prepare 9-[(1R,2R,3S)-2,3-bis(hydroxylmethyl)cyclobutan-1-yl]- guanine, useful as an antiviral agent as an ointment and enable for using e.g. as a locally applying agent. SOLUTION: This ointment contains 9-[(1R,2R,3S)-2,3-bis(hydroxylmethyl) cyclobutan-1-yl]-guanine, an oil and fat base agent, carboxymthyl cellulose, its cross-linked polymer or their alkali metal salt as essential components, and uniformly dispersing the powder of 9-[(1R,2R,3S)-2,3-bis(hydroxylmethyl) cyclobutan-1-yl]-guanine into the ointment base agent.
