SOLUTION: When fuel injection is completed, a solenoid valve 3 is opened by a solenoid 34, high pressure fuel oil in a valve chamber 11 is rapidly filled into a spill chamber 8 to rapidly raise pressure of the spill chamber 8. A spill plunger 35 is pushed down utilizing the pressure of the spill chamber 8, and the solenoid valve 3 is rapidly opened. Since pressure in a nozzle chamber 27 is simultaneously reduced, force for pushing a needle valve 28 up is reduced, energizing force of a nozzle spring 29 overcomes pressure to push down the needle valve 28. In this time, since force for pushing down the needle valve 28 is added on the spill plunger 35 by pressure of the spill chamber 8, forcible valve closing force can be ensured.
