description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To recover easily from increase of ventilation resistance due to clogging of a filter member by providing a filter member disposed rotatably while traversing a ventilation passage, and a cleaning member abutting against the rotating filter member to remove dirt adhering thereto. SOLUTION: A kitchen hood comprises a hood body 1, a front cover 2, and a grease filter box housing a grease filter 4. The grease filter 4 comprises a filter member shaped into an annular band arranged to turn while traversing an air suction window 5b made in a window frame 5a along the window frame 5a to cover the suction window 5b from the inside. A ventilation part disposed oppositely to the suction window 5b and contaminated through adhesion of fat components is moved sequentially to the outside of the suction window 5b and a new ventilation part is disposed oppositely to the suction window 5b. Dirt, e.g. fat components, adhering to the grease filter 4 is removed by means of a filter cleaning member being rolled when the grease filter 4 is turned.
