SOLUTION: Based on the link relationship of roads at intersections stored preliminarily in guide road data or intersection data, roads entering from the intersections and enter states of the roads from the intersections are specified. A table for obtaining an enter road from a relative move direction (vector) on a recognition screen of a signal (characteristic object) based on the enter states is stored beforehand, or is calculated when an intersection is guided. A relative movement direction of the signal is obtained by image recognition. Depending on in which of directions the vector is present, based on a straight advance direction (arrow direction of the table), advancing straight, turning to the right, turning to the left or the like is decided. For example, when the signal moves in the right direction on the screen as indicated in Fig. C, it is decided as being turning to the left. In this way, the enter road is specified at the intersection.
