SOLUTION: In the center controller 3, a connection interface 10 receives commands from a CP 1 and passes them to a file controller 11. The controller 11 interprets a command from the PC 1, retrieves the storage location of data, and passes information indicating the data storage position to a RAID controller 12 to instruct it to obtain the data. The RAID controller 12 judges the module box and media where the data are stored by using the information and sends a command for sending the data. The instructed module box loads the corresponding media in a DVD-RAM drive to read the data out.
