description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively decide a point that is closest to the characteristic of a prescribed analog signal of an optional set of uneven dispersion points by obtaining the continuous retrieval sections by dividing a single retrieval section into two sections and setting several points in every section with these points equal to each other or different by one from each other. SOLUTION: A step is prepared to consider the continuous retrieval sections included in a set, the continuous retrieval sections are obtained by dividing a single section into two sections and every section has several points which are equal to each other or different by one from each other. In such a constitution, a retrieval section Ij is defined by an index jm of a symbol having largest amplitude C(jm) included in the section Ij and an index jM of a symbol having the largest amplitude C(jm) included in the section Ij. Then Ij=[C(jm), C(jM)] is defined to jm>jM. Nj shows the number of type symbols included in the section Ij and Ωj shows an index of the symbol which is considered as a center symbol that divides the section Ij into two sections.
