DEVICE AND METHOD FOR TRANSFERRING CONDUCTIVE BALL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive ball transfer device and method to properly fluidize conductive balls in a ball tank and effect efficient absorption. SOLUTION: In a transfer device for conductive balls formed that conductive balls 7 stored in a ball tank 10 are vacuum-absorbed by a transfer head 6 for pick-up to transfer the balls to a work, a blow-through amount of air supplied from an air source 35 and blown through the conductive ball layer of the ball tank 10 through a nozzle 31 is regulated by controlling a motor 34 driven by a flow rate regulating valve 33 based on a detecting result for the height of the upper surface of the conductive ball layer detected by a laser displacement gauge 20. This constitution ensures a proper blow-through amount corresponding to a ball storage amount and performs excellent absorption by constantly properly fluidizing conductive balls in the ball tank.
