PRODUCTION OF AQUEOUS COMPOSITION CONTAINING FATTY ACID SALT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fatty acid salt-containing aqueous composition in a prescribed concentration from a fatty acid and a fatty acid salt as product raw materials, capable of preventing the product raw materials from forming gels, capable of easily neutralizing the fatty acid, and further capable of mixing and diluting the product raw materials without giving a high shear force. SOLUTION: This method for producing a fatty acid salt-containing aqueous composition having a fatty acid salt concentration of 1-30 wt.% comprises mixing a fatty acid with a middle liquid crystal-disintegrating agent, mixing the mixture with an alkali agent and water at the melting temperature of the fatty acid or higher or at a temperature of the titer value or higher or mixing the mixture with water, adding an alkali agent to the prepared dispersion to convert the fatty acid into the fatty acid salt, or converting the fatty acid salt into a neat phase state, mixing the fatty acid salt with a middle liquid crystal-disintegrating agent, and subsequently mixing the mixture with water at the above temperature.
