description PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an adsorptive phenomenon of a contact seal by arranging air holes of one place or plural places on the outside diameter side or the inside diameter side of the contact seal between an outer ring and an inner ring. SOLUTION: A contact seal 7 is constituted by covering an iron plate 7a with rubber 7b or only rubber, an outside diameter surface air hole 8a recessed in the shaft direction on the outside diameter surface 9a of the head part 9 and an inside surface air hole 8b recessed in the radial direction on the inside surface 9b exist as an air hole 8, and are arranged in one or a more places in the circumferential direction of the contact seal 7. The air holes 8a, 8b are arranged in either one, or are formed in the same phase, or are provided by shifting a phase by 90 degrees to improve sealing performance. When a pressure balance of the bearing inside/outside is lost, since pressure of the bearing inside/ outside can be adjusted through the air hole 8 on the outside diameter side 9 or the inside diameter side 10 of the seal 7, the pressure balance of the bearing inside/outside is uniformly kept, and an adsorptive phenomenon of the contact seal 7 is not caused, so that a mechanical loss in an apparatus can be restrained.
