COMPOSIZIONE PER IL CONTROLLO DI INCROSTAZIONI E DEPOSITI DA MACROINVERTEBRATI IN AMBIENTI ACQUATICI E RELATIVO METODO

Composition for the control of macrofouling, that is fouling and deposits of macroinvertebrates such as molluscs, serpulids and cirripedes in aquatic environments, comprising one or more water-soluble quaternary ammonium salts, preferably of formula 2 (2) in which R1 is a C8-C18 alkyl radical, R2 is a methyl group, a C8-C18 alkyl radical or a benzyl radical, X is an anion selected from Cl-, Br-, SO4=, HSO4-, NO3-, CH3COO- and CH3CH2COO- and m is the number of negative charges on that anion, and one or more polyhexamethylene biguanidines of formula 1: (1) in which n is a whole number between 2 and 20, preferably having a peak at 11-12, or a corresponding water-soluble salt. Method for the control of macrofouling comprising the addition of effective quantities of said products to the water requiring treatment in a single formulation or separately, provided that this is done simultaneously or within a short space of time.
