Un metodo per la fabbricazione di fibre cristalline in cui il materiale destinato a formare la fibra viene portato alla temperatura di fusione in un crogiolo (1) e fatto fluire attraverso una porzione terminale (4) di piccolo diametro sostanzialmente verticale, alla cui estremità di uscita il materiale solidifica per formare la fibra, viene perfezionato prevedendo che in detto crogiolo (1) venga mantenuta una pressione controllata per regolare il flusso di materiale da detta porzione terminale, e che all'uscita di detta porzione terminale (4) di piccolo diametro il materiale in corso di solidificazione venga prelevato da mezzi di trazione.
