PURPOSE: To simplify production, construction and fitting of needle beds by arranging a board at a correct gauge in the whole length of the needle beds, making gaps between main plates at an upper part of a bottom board be the same breadth and making knitting needle to be pierced through the gap have the same play in everywhere. CONSTITUTION: This needle bed constructs a needle bed segment 11 with a higher main board 12 and a lower bottom board main board 13 and pierced streak plates 19 are inserted into pins 18. The pierced streak plates have squarely formed holes at a correct distance X coincident to the gauge and pins 18 in the main board 12 is fitted to the holes. Pins at a lower face of the main board 12 are fitted to rectangular groove holes of pierced band 21 having same length with the needle bed to ensure a correct gauge of the board in the whole length of the needle bed.
