Zusammenfassung:An apparatus for the filling of packaging containers (1) has an intermittently switched conveyor device (11) for feeding the packaging containers. In order to lengthen the time for filling a respective quantity of filling material into a packaging container in relation to the standstill phase of the conveyor device, a station of the conveyor device is assigned a cross-conveyor (31) with two holders (33, 34) which alternately take the supplied packaging containers out of the conveyor device and shift them laterally during a switching phase of the conveyor device and thereafter bring them back again into the conveyor device during a standstill phase of the latter. The outlet ends of two dumping funnels (51, 52) are connected to the cross-conveyor coincidentally with the holders, so that a filling operation can extend over the entire dwell time of a packaging container in a holder.
