The purpose of the invention is to eliminate the slip of the bobbins on the winding roller of rotor-type open-end spinning machines caused by stopping them in steps and, at the same time, to ensure that the fibre ends in the draw-off tubes of the spinning units remain at equal distances from the spinning rotors, with constant parameters of the spun yarn being preserved. The machine is stopped in steps by means for actuating a kinematic coupling between the drive of the spinning rotors, the drive of the yarn draw-off rollers coupled to the winding rollers and the drive of the mechanisms for delivering fibre material to the spinning units.
