description The motor stator casing is made of sheet metal which is folded to form a series of axial cooling fins (2). The bore of the casing is determined by passing it over a mandrel with a diameter slightly less than the outside diameter of the core that the core is a secure press fit in the casing It also makes good thermal contact with the casing. Locations for feet (5) and end shields can be attached to the casing.
