PROCEDIMENTO PER LA FABBRICAZIONE DI FILATI POLIESTERI TESTURIZZATI AVENTI PROPRIETA' MECCANICHE MICLIORATE

A process for manufacturing texturized polyester yarns from preoriented polyester yarns comprises imparting to the yarns a false twist (13) and concurrently drawing them (11-14) while heat setting them (12), subsequently subjecting them to a second heat setting (15), and collecting the texturized yarn (18). The temperature of the heat setting means and the speeds of the means which impart to the yarns their motion are subjected to critical conditions. Namely, the temperature of the first heat setting means is lower than 200 DEG C, the temperature of the second setting means is not higher than that of the first heat setting means and is preferably lower and the yarn undergoes a retraction, preferably between 8% and 16%, during the second heat setting. Preferred temperatures are 190 DEG C for the first heat setting means and from 160 DEG C to 190 DEG C for the second heat setting means. The texturized yarns thus obtained have increased elongation and tenacity and are greatly improved as to crimp rigidity and crimp contraction.
