Zusammenfassung:	A method for enhancing various economically important yield related traits in plants by modulating expression of a nucleic acid encoding a flavodoxin polypeptide in plants in a specific way. Provided are plants having the expression of a nucleic acid encoding a flavodoxin polypeptide modulated by a particular type of promoter which plants have enhanced yield related traits compared with control plants. Hitherto unknown constructs which are useful in performing the methods of the invention are also provided.
