PROCESS FOR PRODUCING 5-(DIETHYLAMINO)-2-PENTANONE IN AQUEOUS MEDIUM

5-(diethylamino)-2-pentanone is prepd. in an aq. medium from 5-chloro-pentanone nad diethyl-amine. Based on the total wt. of the reaction mixt. 1-30 wt.% water and in this case 0.1 wt.% inorganic acid is used.
