Zusammenfassung:884,017. Rollers. DRUCKMASOHINENWERK PLANETA VEB. Oct. 1, 1959, No. 33273/59. Class 42 (2). [Also in Group XVI] A friction roller includes two parts releasably connected by an index pen, the inner part comprising eccentric elements secured to the roller shaft, and the outer part comprising a tubular shell and welded-in hub parts with eccentric bores with the same eccentricity as the eccentric elements, the parts being held together by lateral discs and the outer part being coaxial with the shaft in a working position and eccentric thereto when rotated 180 degrees. Mounted on the roller shaft 15, Figs. 3 and 4, are eccentric elements 16, 17 welded to the tube 18. Mounted rotatably on the elements 16, 17 is a friction roller outer part comprising end pieces 19 having eccentric bores to fit over the elements, and a control tube 20. In the coaxial position, an index pin 22, Figs. 4 and 5, fitted into a common hole 21 in the element 16 and one of the end pieces 19, locks the roller coaxially on its shaft. End discs 27, 28 are screwed to the eccentric elements and bear against the roller end pieces, providing a functional drive, so that the pin 22 does not transmit load. After loosening a screw 30 and moving a guide pin 25 along a slot 26 so as to move the pin 22 against a spring 23 clear of the end piece, the roller can be rotated 180 degrees on the elements so as to render its axis eccentric with respect to its shaft.
