Zusammenfassung: | 712,250. Metal pipes. BRITISH RAYON RESEARCH ASSOCIATION and T.M.M. (RESEARCH), Ltd. Aug. 14, 1952 [Aug. 14, 1951], No. 19086/51. Class 99 (2). [Also in Group IX] A duct in which continuously moving filaments are spread into a thin sheet by a contraflow air draught (see Group IX) comprises a converging portion, as at 16b, 26b; a throat, as at 12, 21, 28; and a diverging zone, as at 16a, 26a, the walls, as at 10b, of which may be plane or curved, removable and/or of transparent plastic material. The duct may vary throughout its length in cross-sectional area and shape e.g. rectangular, elliptical, circular, Figs. 7-10 (not shown), and comprise plates, as at 13a, for ensuring smooth air flow, and baffles, as at 13, for causing air turbulence. Outlet apertures, as at 11, f, 24, 27, are provided. |
