Cartridge and vacuum pump

A cartridge and vacuum pump, wherein the cartridge containing a lubricant for a vacuum pump, in particular a turbo-molecular vacuum pump, comprising a housing 12 defining a reservoir space 50 and further defining a first direction 64 towards a bearing of the vacuum pump and an opposite second direction; a reservoir arranged inside the reservoir space, wherein the reservoir comprises an opening to receive a lubricant transfer member 58 of the vacuum pump; a supply member 56 to supply the lubricant to the lubricant transfer member, wherein the supply member extends into the opening and is in contact with the lubricant supply member; a return element 62 connected to reservoir to return lubricant to the reservoir, wherein the return element extends from the housing in the first direction, wherein a first end of the return element is arranged after the supply member in the first direction.
