Zusammenfassung:A method of, and system for, monitoring the attachment integrity of a wind turbine blade are disclosed. The displacement of a blade root relative to a pitch bearing in a direction parallel to a longitudinal axis of the blade is measured during operation. In the monitoring system a displacement sensor is used, which is connected to a computer to record the movement over time. The amplitude of the displacement may then be determined. The displacement at a second location around the pitch bearing may be measured, allowing a phase difference between the first and second displacement to be determined. An alert may be triggered if these measures exceed a predetermined threshold. Focused measurement of the relative displacements between a blade root and pitch bearing allows potential failures to be prevented and repairs to be scheduled prior to failure.
