Zusammenfassung:Method for detecting the boundaries 523 of a display screen 520 using an extended reality device 510, comprising: the augmented reality device receiving a predetermined frame 502 of a video stream that comprises a plurality of feature points (404, Fig.4); monitoring a display screen displaying the video to detect the feature points; and determining the physical boundaries of the display screen from the feature points. The orientation and location of the screen may be determined from the feature points. If an insufficient number of feature points from a first frame are detected in the video stream, then subsequent frames (608, Fig.6), each containing feature points, may be sent to the augmented reality headset for screen boundary detection. If features of the subsequent frames are not detected in the video stream (610, Fig.6) a test image may of feature points may be displayed (612, Fig.6) for screen boundary detection. If features of the test are not detected, an error message may be displayed (616, Fig.6). The video stream may be from a video game or a computer game. The physical screen boundary may be used to determine a virtual boundary 530 relative to which virtual objects 525 may be displayed.
