A display substrate and a touch control display device. The display substrate comprises a plurality of pixel units (20) arranged on a substrate (70) in an array, a plurality of signal lines (40) and a grid-shaped cathode layer (30). Sub-pixels in the pixel unit (20) comprise pixel aperture regions. The cathode layer (30) comprises a plurality of first cathode patterns (301) and a plurality of second cathode patterns (302), the plurality of first cathode patterns (301) are distributed in an array, and adjacent first cathode patterns (301) are coupled by means of at least one second cathode pattern (302). The orthographic projection of the first cathode pattern (301) on the substrate (70) covers the pixel aperture regions in the corresponding pixel unit (20), and the orthographic projection of the second cathode pattern (302) on the substrate (70) at least partially overlaps with the orthographic projections of at least some of the signal lines (40) on the substrate (70).
