Zusammenfassung:System and method for providing a user with an augmented reality (AR) display of data relating to a vehicle. At least one processor determines that an autonomous vehicle 1304a (AV) is in the field of view (FoV) 1412 of a user 1308 wearing an AR display device 1420, determines first data regarding an operation of the AV and displays a graphical user interface 1410 (GUI) including at least a portion of the data 1414, in spatial proximity to the vehicle in the user's FoV. The FoV and position of the GUI may be continuously updated to maintain this apparent spatial proximity in the user's view. Two or more AVs may also be in the FoV and data relating to each vehicle may be determined and displayed in spatial proximity to the associated additional vehicles. The data presented in the GUI may relate to a task assigned to the vehicles, a region of operation, a route, a maintenance state, fuel or battery levels (figure 16). User gestures may be tracked and used to cause the processor to execute a command relating to the vehicle's status, e.g. recharging or assigning a task.
