| Zusammenfassung: | A method of determining the presence or absence of an antibody in a sample, the method comprising the steps of: (a) contacting the sample with a lysis composition comprising (i) a quaternary ammonium compound; and (ii) a non-ionic surfactant; and (b) contacting the sample and the lysis composition with an antibody detection device. The quaternary ammonium compound is preferably a benzyl or silyl ammonium compound. The non-ionic surfactant is preferably an alkyl polyglucoside or an alcohol ethoxylate. The detection device is preferably a lateral flow assay. The antibodies are preferably for SARS-CoV-2. The sample may be blood or saliva. Also described are kits for carrying out the method. |
