Deployable charging points for vehicles

A deployable charging point assembly for a vehicle 2 comprises a connecting part 110 for connecting to a separate electrical power source 200. The connecting part is mounted on the vehicle such that it is movable between a first position and a second position. The assembly establishes an electrical connection between the power source and an electrical system 4 of the vehicle when the connecting part is in one or more predetermined positions. The first position may be a retracted position in which the connecting part is recessed relative to an outer surface of the vehicle body. The second position may be a deployed position in which the connecting part is less recessed. An electrical may be established between the power source and the vehicle when the connecting part is in either the retracted or deployed position. The connecting part may be movably mounted on the vehicle by an attachment part 120 which is fixedly mounted on the vehicle, wherein each part may comprise a respective electrical terminal 112,114. The connecting/attachment parts may have respective electrical contacts 118,120 (figure 3a) which extend along their length such that they are in contact over at least part of the travel of the connecting part.
