The disclosed fuel reservoir 12 assembly is tuned by pre-assembling the pressure relieving valve 14, fixing it in the common rail and then tuning the PLV to a target safety pressure threshold. The valve may be tuned by tightening or loosening the plug. The PLV and common rail arrangement overcomes weakness issues encountered by valves that are crimped or use shims.
