Zusammenfassung:The present invention provides an electrode material having excellent resistance to a high potential and strongly acidic environment, high conductivity, and excellent electrochemical properties; and a fuel cell including the same. The present invention also provides a method for simply and easily producing such an electrode material. The present invention relates to an electrode material containing: a titanium suboxide carrier whose crystal phase is single-phase Ti4O7 and having a specific surface area of 10 m2/g or more; and a noble metal and/or its oxide supported on the carrier.
