Adjustable building panel support device

An adjustable building panel support device comprising a building panel support element (200, Fig.1) and a support bracket (100, Fig. 1) fixable to the support element by at least one connector 300. A user may adjust the relative position of the support element and the support bracket by selecting the position at which the connector 300 attaches the element to the bracket to accommodate for lateral variations in a substrate surface 510. The support element 200 may have a first panel retaining formation 220, having flanges (221, 222 Fig.1) for supporting and retaining at least one building cladding panel 400. A second panel retaining formation 230, having flanges 231 and 232, may be provided for supporting insulation 600, preferably a rigid polymeric foam, or for defining a panel retaining channel with the first retaining formation flanges (See Fig. 3b). The device may comprise plate metal and be secured to a substrate via a connector 130. Also claimed is a system including the device and a panel, and a method of use.
