The packing may comprise an envelope or banding and the packet may comprise a rod or wire 60 passing through the at least one plate 10 according to the direction of propagation of the corrugations and held the two ends 64 or the rod or wire 60 against the sides of the plate extending transversally to the direction of propagation of the corrugations. Also included are a method of compressing said insulating product plate 10 and equipment for compressing product plate 10 which may include components which will exert pressure on the outer faces of the plate parallel to the film to allow control of the spacing of the outer faces from one another.
