Beverage dispensing module and flexible pouch

This invention is directed towards a beverage dispensing module (500, fig 13) and flexible pouch (112) for such a beverage dispensing module (500). The pouch (112) comprises a first major side panel (201) connected to a first minor side panel (203) along a first corner (221) and a second major side panel (201) connected to the first minor side panel (203) along a second corner (222). The pouch (112) comprises a first sealed region between the first major and minor side panels (201, 202, 203,204). The first sealed region extends along and is located adjacent to the first corner (221), extends orthogonal to the first corner (221) into the first major and minor side panels (201, 202, 203, 204) by a first width and comprises a first portion extending from a first end (235) of the first major and minor side panels (201, 202, 203, 204) towards a midpoint along the first corner (221), wherein the first width of the firstportion decreases away from the first end (235). The pouch (112) comprises a second sealed region (231) between the second major side panel (201) and the first minor side panel (203). The second sealed region (231) extends along and is located adjacent to the second corner (222), extends orthogonal to the second corner (222) into the second major side panel (201) and the first minor side panel (203) by a second width and comprises a second portion extending from a first end (235) of the second major side panel (201) and the first minor side panel (203) towards a midpoint along the second corner (222), wherein the second width of the second portion decreases away from the first end (235). The first width increases towards the first end (235) of the first corner (221) by a greater magnitude that the increase in the second width towards the second end (236) of the second corner (222).
