Zusammenfassung:A method 100 and system scales an image including low resolution text areas. One or more areas of text the image to be scaled are determined 101, and the one or more areas of text are scaled using two or more scaling algorithms 102A, 102B to a required resolution to acquire two or more scaled versions of the text area. The clearest text in a text area from two or more scaled versions of the text area is selected 103. The overall image is scaled 106 to the required resolution and merged 107 with the selected scaled version of each text area. The best text may be determined using text recognition to provide a metric of clarity. The text areas may be removed from the image and filled with background matching the surrounding image.
