The second coupler 210 may receive data signals and/or power via the transmission medium 206, process and send data via the transmission medium to the first coupler 208 or other couplers associated with the transmission medium 206, or any combination thereof. The couplers 208, 210 may be a directional antenna such as Yagi-Uda or quasi-Yagi antenna. Modem arrangements may be used to prepare one or more signals for transmission via the transmission medium to one or more coupler locations associated with the said medium to communicate with, power and control devices such as a communication, light, servo, video, radio and/or sensor arrangements in a vehicle such as an aircraft.
